Oh my!

I just realized it's been awhile since I last posted. What a week we've had! After Blain graduated and departed for Texas, I was lucky enough to have my Mom-In-Law spend a week with me! It was because of her that I got a nap every day and a hug each night! Thanks Margie!!! It was also because of her that I didn't just break down and cry every morning! I miss Blain...alot! But lucky for us, we've been able to talk every night since he's been gone and that makes all the difference! When Margie left, I had one day with the girls alone. I think it was needed but it also provided the perfect setting for me to have my one and only meltdown since Blain left. We got through it and Madison was such a source of comfort. "Mommy, don't cry. It's okay Mommy" I am so glad she loves me!

Thursday, two movers came and started packing up the house. It was not stressful and actually a pleasant experience. On Friday, they came with the crates and loaded up our house...only then did I realize how much stuff we really have! I couldn't believe it! That night the girls and I, my parents and my grandparents went and stayed at the hotel on NPS in Monterey. The next morning we were able to get the entire house clean in 3 hours...go us!

Now we are in Patterson, getting settled. And photos will be coming soon!

This photo was taken just a few months after we moved to Monterey in 2007. My In-laws were here for the weekend and my dear friend Kim Johanson and I decided to make a Chinese dinner inspired by a recipe for home-made fortune cookies we saw on the show "Take Home Chef"! The dinner was yummy and the table looked GREAT!!! The recipe for the fortune cookies was so simple...and even though they looked kinda odd...they tastest DELICIOUS!!!!!

Whoever has a blog...TAG...you're it!

HE DID IT!!!

Yup, that's right...Blain passed!!! With the highest score being a 3 and needing a 2 to pass...Blain came home with a 3 in listening and a 2+ in reading!!!! Those are great scores and we are so proud of him!!! Well done Blain!!!
He leaves on Thursday for Texas for 5-6 months where he finishes the second part of training!
And than it's off to San Diego where we will be permanently stationed!!!
