Last year for Christmas Madison got Hooked on Phonics from my parents. Well, we started off really well, doing a letter a day and having our "school time" each day. Then I started slacking and before I knew it...months had gone by! So we are now getting back on track. She loves sitting at the kitchen table and going over the letter, it's sound, finding words that begin with the letter of the day, and practicing writing the letter. Then we move upstairs to the computer where she gets to play a computer game with that letter. If you've never used Hooked on Phonics...it is a must have. The program is simple, yet effective!!! And she loves feeling like a big kid because she gets to use the computer all by herself.
